I was grinning from ear-to-ear as it was described and when the River Man had a meeting with both Lori and her sister, I knew the ending was going to be vicious. He asks her to visit an old hideout of his a riverside shack never traced by the authorities where she will find a key. lol. Its violent, brutal, frustrating and emotional. The book is about a woman who is obsessed with an imprisoned serial killer whom she writes letters. River Man is the legendary guide on the River Styx who carries souls who have just entered the underworld into Hades. Its a short read, but doesnt feel like its lacking story building like some novellas do.
